My Background
Welcome! My name is Labree’ Cheston. Although I originally hail from Jacksonville Florida, today I do most of my creative art work based out of “The Queen City” Charlotte, North Carolina. Art has not only been a passion but also always been my preferred method of self expression. I learned very early that one can use art, in all its varying forms, to explain what words cannot and unlike words there’s no right or wrong way to interpret it. When you open yourself up and begin to look at the world through an artistic eye, you’ll find that the most unlikely source can be inspirational.
My Medium
I specialize in graphite drawings but here you’ll see anything from acrylic paintings to digital art. It has always been important to me to avoid restricting myself by following “rules” set by others because art shouldn’t have any. It should be about expression and passion and you can’t put those things in a box. I believe that each idea manifests in its own individual style and as the creator, it’s my responsibility to bring that “style” to life.
My Inspiration
The source of my creativity can be attributed to various people and places which has, in turn, influenced my creative style and process. I dedicate the title of “Most Influential” however to my teacher and mentor, Mr. Simon Howard. As the biggest inspiration so far in my career, he taught me that art should be an experience for both the artist and the viewer. The goal with each piece is to spark a level of emotion in every person it reaches.

My Background
I’m Lyric Cheston from Jacksonville, FL. I attend school in Charlotte, NC.
I personally like drawing people & facial features especially eyes.
However, I can draw objects and still life photos as well.
I started drawing when I was younger. I liked to watch makeup video's so I would practice drawing eyes so I could draw the makeup on paper instead of putting it on my face and then I ended up drawing other things like eyebrows etc. until I started drawing full faces and the whole body. I also enjoy painting with acrylic paint and water colors. Recently I have been drawing cartoons and caricatures.
